Internal Deadlines

All proposals for external funding, including grants, contracts, subawards, letters of intent, and other funding mechanisms, must be processed through Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) prior to submission.

General deadlines for the proposal process:

Deadline	Action
8 weeks before deadline	Complete the Proposal Intake Form.
6 weeks before deadline	Upload your draft budget into Cayuse SP.
2 weeks before deadline	Upload your draft proposal narrative into Cayuse SP.
10 days before deadline	Replace your draft budget with finalized budget into Cayuse SP.
5 full business/working days (typically one calendar week) before deadline	Upload all required final documents into Cayuse SP and sponsor application.
2 full business/working days before deadline	All proposal documents are ready to submit.
1 full business/working day before deadline	Your pre-award manager will submit your final proposal to the sponsor.
