Submitting a Protocol

All new submissions must be started using the Cayuse IACUC system.

For certain protocols, a literature search is required. View a list of suggested literature search databases by subject area.

An annual review of all studies is required by the USDA for the first two years after initial or de novo approval. Complete the renewal submission to the initial study in Cayuse IACUC at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of the study.

A triennial review of all studies is required. Complete the De Novo submission to the initial study in Cayuse IACUC at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of the study.

Any revisions to an already approved study will need to be submitted as an amendment submission to the initial study in Cayuse IACUC.

Any reports of adverse events should be emailed to Research Ethics & Compliance. Please refer to the appropriate Reporting of Adverse Events SOP for additional guidance and information on reporting these events.
