Submissions and Financial Conflict of Interest Requirements
ISU Policy 7.1.1 describes the required disclosure of significant financial interests held by investigators and their immediate family members. From that policy, “A conflict of interest exists when an institutional review determines that a significant financial interest could directly and significantly affect or be affected by the design, conduct, assessment, and/or reporting of sponsored projects.”
The initial disclosure of conflicts of interest related to a sponsored program are completed in the “Conflict of Interest” section for each grant proposal within Cayuse SP. If you may have a potential conflict of interest RSP requests that you fully disclose that interest by providing additional information. If a significant financial interest rises to the level of becoming a potential conflict of interest, then Research Ethics and Compliance, prior to the beginning of a project, will put a PI specific management plan in place.
