The University is committed to recognizing and supporting scholarly research contributions through grants and awards programs.

University Research Grant

The University Research Grant (URG) program is an internal grant program provided by the University and administered by each individual college.

Outstanding University Researcher Award

The University Research Award recognizes faculty members who are acknowledged for their research nationally or internationally, their quality of scholarly work, and their contribution to profession/discipline.

Outstanding University Team Research Award

The University Team Researcher Award recognizes exemplary collaborative research conducted by multiple investigators from interdisciplinary backgrounds.

Research Initiative Award

The Research Initiative Award recognizes faculty members who have initiated a promising research agenda early in their academic careers.

Outstanding College Researcher Award

The College Researcher Award is given by university colleges to recognize outstanding researchers. 

Travel Award Program

The Travel Award Program is intended to enhance competitive grant proposals by providing travel support funds to faculty or staff wishing to meet with agency program officers or collaborators at other institutions.

Travel Award for Prospective NSF-CAREER Applicants 

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program, one of the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards, supports junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education, and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.
